pantry dietitian
I grew up in a home where food was made from scratch and processed food was limited. Cooking was a priority in our family, and meals were part of a vibrant cultural upbringing. That early experience instilled in me the value of fresh, nourishing food.
Today, our eating environment is vastly different. Processed and convenience foods are now the norm, with supermarket shelves filled with over 20,000 items—making it impossible to determine what’s healthy.
the background
There’s a flood of misleading information when it comes to food. Ingredient lists, nutrition information panels (NIPs), and marketing claims confuse and mislead, rather than clarify.
We regularly buy products we believe are healthy—but they’re not. This leads to poor eating patterns, growth and developmental challenges and poorer health outcomes, despite having the best intentions. The food industry plays a significant role in shaping these habits, and navigating this space can be overwhelming.
Processed food isn’t inherently bad, but within each category, it’s increasingly difficult to identify what's truly nutritious and part of a balanced diet.
the problem
My aim is to help you create a healthy home and food environment, without restriction or dieting. It’s all about nutrition, balance, and personal preference.
This is achieved in 3 simple steps:
Pantry Makeover (Pantry, Fridge, Shelves etc)
Education on reading labels, shopping smart, and spotting marketing traps
Empowerment to pick up a product and confidently ask: Is this healthy?
the goal
Book in now for a pantry makeover, which includes:
A 90-minute home visit by a registered APD dietitian
A full cleanout of your pantry, fridge, and kitchen space
Consideration of dietary preferences (allergies, intolerances, vegetarian, fussy eating, etc.)
Label-reading education, NIP breakdowns, and shopping strategies
Tailored advice on how to achieve a balanced diet within your own home
Product recommendations (brand, item, flavour, etc.) that meet my standards
